Becoming a FRIENDS Member is easy and rewarding. You’ll receive our quarterly C&TS Dispatch publication, invitations to special events, the opportunity to participate in our summer work sessions and the satisfaction of investing in America's historic and cultural heritage.
Becoming a FRIENDS Donor is as easy as selecting the initiative or project you would like to support by clicking on one or more of the many tax-deductible choices below and then make your donation online.
Your donation will help us continue our efforts to preserve and interpret the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad now and for generations to come.
MEMORIALS & Honorariums
Consider remembering a loved one, a friend or their special occasion with a donation in their memory or honor. In identifying the person to be remembered or honored, you may designate any special instructions with the gift. As with all monetary gifts, your contributions will assist the FRIENDS in continuing our preservation, restoration and interpretation efforts in support of the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad.
HISTORIC PHOTO COLLECTION
FRIENDS’ acquisition of the Dorman Collection and many other notable collections places the FRIENDS’ Library among the most important railroad institutions in the country, if not the world. Your donation will help us continue our work of documenting, scanning, labeling and preserving these historic collections so they can be enjoyed by narrow-gauge rail enthusiasts worldwide for generations to come.
CHAMA RAILYARD WEBCAMS
The Chama webcams provide viewers from around the world an opportunity to view the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad from the comfort of their home or office. These cameras can be viewed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Your gift helps cover basic operational costs, repairs, and equipment upgrades as well as future expansion of our webcam network.
GENERAL FUND DONATIONS
If you wish to support the FRIENDS efforts in general, which include such items as insurance, utilities, volunteer expenses, staff, docent programs, work session support and general administration, we welcome your gift of any size. We will apply your donation to an area with the greatest need.
YEAR-END APPEAL
At the end of each calendar year, the FRIENDS seeks support to address areas of need for the upcoming year. Your donations will be used to further our overall mission and will be enhanced many times over by the volunteer hours our members contribute.
PNGPF FUND
Please consider donating to our Preserving Narrow Gauge Past for the Future initiative. This ongoing campaign provides financial resources for restoration and interpretive projects. Contributions will assist in restoring historic freight cars, line-side structures, maintenance-of-way equipment and historic passenger equipment. Donations also provide work session support as well as funding to continue implementation of our master interpretive plan along the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad’s 64-mile line. Every dollar helps the FRIENDS to fulfill our core mission on an ongoing basis.

Planned Giving
Bequests, estate and other planned gifts play an enormous role in the long-term financial stability of the FRIENDS.
